Abstract
Places monitoring in its legal context, focussing on changes to monitoring introduced by the 1999 Monitoring Regulations. Considers who, when and how an employer should monitor. Encompasses step-by-step guidance on how to monitor employees, applicants, appointees, promoted workers and leavers. Contains additional information and definitions, as well as pro forma documentation, that can be used or adapted to simplify monitoring. Includes a sample copy of the fair employment monitoring return form.
