Abstract
Considers the principles involved in condensation, atmospheric conditions and artificial influences producing condensation, and the behaviour of absorbent materials and surfaces. Explains interstitial condensation and advises how to design to avoid condensation through characteristics of the building fabric and the environment. Includes a worked example in estimating condensation risk. Addresses lightweight sheeted roofs.
