Abstract
To determine characteristic in-situ compressive strength in concrete structures and precast concrete components. Covers: planning an investigation, selection of test methods and locations, assessment of results and assessment where strength of concrete based on test specimens is in doubt.

Superseded by BS EN 13791:2019. Supersedes BS 6089:1981. Came into effect 30 April 2010. This full revision provides complementary guidance to BS EN 13791, describes techniques for assessment of strength of structures and includes flowcharts.
