Abstract

Seeks to update and extend permitted development rights, to make it easier for the adoption of sustainable energy systems and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The proposed changes would remove the need to apply for planning permission when: installing a range of small-scale energy generation equipment on non domestic premises; or a householder wishes to install a small wind turbine, an air source heat pump or solar panels on a flat roof.
