Abstract
Specifies the requirements for assessing the mechanical strength of metal profiles which incorporate a thermal barrier, the tests required to determine the characteristic values of a thermal barrier profile's mechanical properties, and thermal barrier material suitability. This document applies to thermal barrier profiles for windows, doors, and window and curtain walls. It does not apply to thermal barriers whose metal profiles are connected with metal screws or pins.
