Primarily amends Part A of the Building Regulations 1997 (S.I. No 497 of 1997) and are necessary to ensure consistency with the Structural Eurocodes (i.e. a set of harmonised structural design codes for building and civil engineering works) in Ireland. Superseded by SI 2012/138 (SI No. 138 of 2012).
