Comprises one of a series of renewables advice notes for planning authorities, focusing on energy storage, particularly from hydrogen fuel cells.

Superseded by 2013 version. Supersedes PAN 45: Renewable energy technologies (revised edition) (SEDD, 2002) and PAN 45: annex 2 - spatial frameworks and supplementary planning guidance for wind farms (Scottish Government, 2008). This document is part of a series of renewable advice which includes: Onshore wind turbines, Process for preparing spatial frameworks for wind farms, Hydro schemes, Woody biomass, Landfill gas, Energy from waste, Anaerobic digestion, Deep geothermal and Large photovoltaic arrays (all Scottish Government, 2011).
