Abstract

Relates to the Marine works (environmental impact assessment) (amendment) regulations 2011. SI 2011/735, which makes amendments to the Marine Works (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2007. These amendments ensure that Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Directive requirements will apply to marine works which require a marine licence under Part 4 of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009; a marine licence under the Marine (Scotland) Act 2010; and to activities which a regulator proposes to carry out itself which would otherwise need a regulatory approval.
