Describes the content of the Approved Documents and offers answers to typical questions that DIY enthusiasts and builders might ask concerning building projects. Information is organised by element rather than regulation. Includes changes to Parts A, B, D, E, F, G, H, J, L, M, and N of the Approved Documents between 2007 and 2010.

Superseded by 7th edition published February 2012, this new edition includes the latest on all the significant amendments to building regulations, planning permission and the Approved Documents that occurred in October 2010 and includes changes to parts F and L, as well as Approved Documents A, C, and J. There are also changes reflecting the consolidation of the building regulations included. Supersedes the 5th edition published in 2007. This sixth edition of the book includes the requirements of Part G ‘Sanitation, hot water safety and water efficiency’.
