Introduces amendments to BD 51/98 pending a full review in due course. Applies to new non-passively safe gantries.

Wales only IANs are issued by the Welsh Government. They contain specific guidance, to be used only in connection with works on the motorway and trunk road network in Wales. IANs must be read in conjunction with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW). Relates to DMRB BD 51. Applicable to Wales only.
