Abstract
Provides clarification on the determination of wind loads on buildings with dominant openings in the event of a severe storm. Dominant openings are often assumed to be shut during a storm but the accidental situation of them being open is considered, discussing the rules in BS 6399-2 and BS EN 1991-1-4.
