Abstract
Looks at common causes and the effects of corrosion of steel in reinforced concrete, explores concrete repair and rehabilitation strategies and reviews the options for remedial action. Provides in-depth coverage of all aspects of cathodic protection and system design including installation, testing, verification and commissioning. The appendices cover: anode materials and systems, galvanic anode materials and systems, impressed current anode materials and systems for buried and submerged reinforced concrete structures, galvanic anode materials and systems for buried and submerged reinforced concrete structures, model specification and typical items to be included in bills of quantities or activity schedules for works.
