For use where the main contract is a JCT contract and/or, for a small sub-contract package of work or one that is of straightforward content with low risk involved.

Document History

The current edition is Short form of sub-contract 2016. JCT 2011 Contracts should not be used for construction contracts entered into after 1 October 2016. Replaces - ShortSub 05. See also - Amendment 1 issued March 2015 (effective from 6 April 2015): JCT short form of sub-contract 2011 (SMA, 2015), which has been included as a separate document. JCT 2011 has now been withdrawn following the successful release of the JCT 2016 edition of contracts, 10 May 2018.
