Abstract
Advises on the use of the Simplified Building Energy Model and other approved software tools comprising the National Calculation Methodology (NCM) when demonstrating compliance with the carbon emission requirements of the Building Regulations for England and Wales in respect of buildings other than dwellings, and when calculating asset ratings as part of preparing energy performance certificates (EPCs) for buildings other than dwellings.

Came into force 01/10/2010 and replaced 2008 edition. Updated November 2011 to include guidance regarding lighting systems in warehouse buildings and clarifications regarding racking. Updated December 2012.
