Abstract
Outlines the department's measures which aim to improve compliance with the Building Regulations. In particular the introduction of mandatory certificates of compliance, the lodgement of drawings at both commencement and completion of construction, more efficient pooling of building control staff and resources, standardised approaches from local authorities, and better support and further development of the building control function nationwide.
