Abstract
Explains the objectives of the Part 2A regime, sets out the Local authority inspection duties and risk assessment. Provides a definition of radioactive contaminated land and establishes the basis to determine that harm is being caused and the significant possibility of harm. Looks at the factors in determining if land is radioactively contaminated, remediation techniques, liability and cost recovery.
