Abstract
Gives both geometrical and technical requirements for the design and production of pedestrian parapets for road bridges, footbridges, retaining walls and other elevated structures. Includes methods of test for performance and verification, as well as marking and labelling for application and use. Vehicle restraint systems, pedestrian restraint systems in residential, commercial or industrial buildings, and non-rigid rails, such as ropes or cables are excluded from this standard.
