Abstract
Covers the general requirements of installation in relation to occupancies, special machinery rooms, fire extinguishing components, piping, valves and their components, refrigerating equipment in the open air. Details are given for the design and construction of special machinery rooms, including warning notices, dimensions and accessibility, doors and walls, ventilation, special machinery rooms for group L2 refrigerants, for group L3 refrigerants, electrical installations, including main power supply, mechanical ventilation, normal lighting, emergency lighting, alarm system. Deals with special arrangements for condensation, trickling water, flammable refrigerants, ammonia (R-717), detectors and alarms, heat sources and temporary high temperatures and personal protective equipment (PPE).
