Abstract

Related to the draft Town and country planning (fees for applications, deemed applications, requests and site visits) (England) regulations 2012, which consolidate, with amendments, the Town and Country Planning (Fees for Applications and Deemed Applications) Regulations 1989 (S.I. 1989/193) and instruments which have amended those Regulations, in relation to England. The principal amendments include raising existing fees in line with inflation and introducing two new fees. Fees were last increased in 2008 and the proposed increase addresses the current shortfall created by inflation.
