Abstract

A section of the M25 goes through a 470 m cut and cover tunnel at the northern edge of Epping Forest. This report presents the class 'A' prediction of the behaviour of the instrumented section of one of the retaining walls of the Bell Common Tunnel, covering wall displacements and bending moments, soil movements and total horizontal stresses.
