Abstract
Gives recommended "non-contradictory complementary information" (NCCI) useful for design of steel or steel/concrete bridges. Covers slenderness parameters, buckling and bending resistance of diaphragms and bridge restraints.

Supersedes PD 6695-2:2008. This published document is not to be regarded as a British Standard. Came into effect 31 July 2008. Amendment C1 dated February 2013 - See foreword. Amendment A1 dated July 2012 - See foreword. Introduces changes to 5.2, 6.2, 7.2, 8.2, 12.2, 21.1, 21.3, 23.3 and 23.4. Draws upon information contained in BS 5400-3:2000. A corrigendum to PD 6695-2 was issued in 2010, and an amendment was issued in 2012 (PD 6695-2:2008+A1:2012). The 2010 corrigendum has now been incorporated into the text and the tags C1 currently in the document refer to the 2013 corrigendum.
