Abstract
Formulates the Scottish Government response to the 2012 consultation to extend the regulatory requirements to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and optimise the energy performance to existing buildings. The intention is to align the Section 63 regulations with the Energy performance of buildings directive (recast) wherever possible to reduce the number of assessments and to change the name of the Section 63 obligations to Action on carbon and energy performance (ACEP) to remove any misleading messages.
