Choice framework for local policy and procedures (CFPP) 01-01: management and decontamination of surgical instruments (medical devices) used in acute care, consists of five parts: the formulation of local policy and choices; common elements; steam sterilization; washer-disinfectors and alternatives to steam for the sterilization of reusable medical devices.
