Abstract
Provides general principles and actions for the structural design of buildings and civil engineering works including some geotechnical aspects. Covers structural design during execution and structural design for temporary structures and relates to all circumstances in which a structure is required to give adequate performance.

Supersedes DD ENV 1991-4:1996. Amendment dated 28 February 2013 - Implementation of CEN corrigendum November 2012. Amendment dated 31 March 2013 - Correction to final sentence of Paragraph (6) Subclause C.9.1.3. To enable BS EN 1991-4:2006 to be used in the UK the latest version of the NA to this Standard containing these NDPs should also be used. At the time of publication, it is NA to BS EN 1991-4:2006.
