Should be read in conjunction with DH HBN 09-02 “Maternity Care Facilities” and the DHSSPS guidance HSS(MD)6/2012 and HSS(MD)16 2012. Professional Estates Letters (PELSs) contain Departmental policy in relation to design, construction, procurement, programme and project management, estate and facilities management, contractual matters, buildings, equipment, medical and electrical plant and medical device safety.
