Abstract
Provides guidance on the legislative procedural requirements relating to the preparation of development plans in Scotland. Explains how the various legislative provisions on development planning contained in both the primary legislation, the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997, and the subsequent Development Planning Regulations fit together. Also explains Scottish Ministers' expectations for the key parts of the process in preparing development plans and the Examination procedure.
