Abstract
Quantifies how much the improvements to social housing arising from the Decent Homes programme have reduced costs to the NHS in treating housing-related injuries and illnesses. Also discusses: the additional costs to society of non-decent homes, Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) hazards, work remaining to be done with non-decent homes, and the importance of maintaining standards in decent homes.
