BIID concise agreement for interior design services (CID/14)
Publication Year
2014
Document Status
Replaced, remains current
Abstract
CID/14 is similar to, but shorter than, ID/10., suggested for use in the engagement of designers for interior design projects which are of low value, non-complex in nature, or where the client may wish to engage the designer to procure furniture, fixtures and equipment as an agent or as a principle. Updated information includes additional clauses based on designers experiences, and references to the new RIBA Plan of Work 2013.
Document History
The British Institute of Interior Design strongly recommends that designers use the RIBA Domestic Professional Services Contract 2020: Interior Design Services or the RIBA Concise Professional Services Contract 2020: Interior Design Services instead of the BIID Concise Agreement for Interior Design Services CID/14: 2014. Jointly published in collaboration with the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID). Replaces BIID concise agreement for interior design services (CID/12). Read with guidance notes on the use of the CID/14 Agreement along with model forms of a Letter of Appointment and a Memorandum of Agreement which incorporates a suggested form of fee schedule.
