Abstract
Gives recommendations for the design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, operation and remote monitoring of detector-activated CCTV systems. It is intended to be primarily of use to remote video response centre (RVRCs) operators and owners of CCTV systems.

Supersedes BS 8418:2010. First published September 2003. Second edition, July 2010. Third (current) edition, January 2015. Came into effect 31 January 2015. The 2010 edition will be withdrawn after 6 months to allow suppliers of products and services to comply with the provisions of this 2015 edition.
