Presents theory and worked examples for new users of strut and tie modelling, covering design and analysis. The STM method allows simple solutions to be applied in complex concrete structures and is used on non-standard elements. Explores the design process, looking at development, choice and optimisation of the STM. Then takes a closer look at the members and design factors.
