Abstract
Presents the impacts and preferred option for proposals to change the building control system to remove the warranty link rule and introduce service plans, changes to self-certification schemes, changes to Part B2 and consolidation and simplification of Parts K, M and N of the building regulations, changes to the checking regime for electrical safety and introducing a third party inspection option and changes to compliance requirements and minor technical amendments in Part M of the building regulations.
