Abstract

Gives a set of procedures to determine the airborne sound insulation between two rooms in a building using sound pressure measurements for room volumes ranging from 10m³ to 250m³ and the frequency range 50 Hz to 5000 Hz. Results should quantify the sound insulation in both furnished and unfurnished rooms as well as allowing assessment and comparisons to be made.
