Abstract

Addresses illegal migrant working and an employer's responsibility to ensure workers have a legal right to work in the UK. This document applies to the checks that are legally required as of 16 May 2014.

Superseded by the August 2017 issue. Original version (May 2014) replaced section 8 of the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996. This latest version of the guidance provides additional amendments and further clarification to the July 2014 and December 2014 issues.
