Abstract
Gives guidance for determining the values of loads due to snow which can be used in the structural design of buildings and civil engineering works. Advice for the treatment of snow loads for altitudes above 1500m may be found in the National Annex.
Document History
This document is considered to be a first generation Eurocode and is the applicable standard for building and civil engineering works constructed in the UK. A period now exists to prepare for the transition between first and second generation Eurocodes. First generation Eurocodes will be withdrawn by BSI on 30 March 2028 and will be replaced by second generation Eurocodes. Supersedes BS EN 1991-1-3:2003. To enable EN 1991-1-3:2003+A1:2015 to be used in the UK the latest version of the NA to this standard containing these NDPs should also be used. At the time of publication, it is NA+A1:2015 to BS EN 1991-1-3:2003+A1:2015. Amendment 15509 is Corrigendum No.1 dated 15 December 2004 - Addition of supersession details. Amendment dated 30 June 2009 - Incorporating corrigendum March 2009. Amendment dated 31 December 2015 - Implementation of CEN amendment A1:2015.
