Abstract

Comprises a briefing investigating the links between urban form and sustainability, looking at the latter through a spatial perspective. Focuses particularly on urban sprawl and the implications it has for sustainability i.e. creating economic, social and environmental problems, arguing long term spatial planning is needed to ensure new developments are located in the right place.
