Abstract
Provides practical application of the RIBA Plan of Work 2013 at the Briefing stage of a project. Introduces the move from design to construction phase, the construction process itself and the move towards handover and completion. Five different scenarios are used throughout the guide to illustrate how the Plan of Work can be applied on various project types and sizes including an extension to a house, a new library and a large office building.

Although there is now a RIBA Plan of Work 2020, this document can be used as the stage structure in the RIBA Plan of Work 2020 is unchanged and this guidance covers specific detail on themes or strategies in a project.
