Summarises the UK's current position regarding CO2 in relation to cement production. Specifically addresses the use of alkali-activated (AA) binders, which produces less CO2 than conventional Portland cement. The paper strives to provide vital support for anyone who is involved in developing, adopting, and using AA binders commercially. The target audience is purchasers, specifiers and those with a vested interest in sustainable product procurement.
