Abstract
Provides a synthesis of the literature on the multiple benefits of green infrastructure, specifically the use of vegetation in the built environment which can increase biodiversity value, enhance pollution control, impact on psychological well-being in humans, contribute to climate control/climate change proofing and improve energy efficiency. Issues covered include: indoor use of vegetation permeable pavements, green walls, green roofs, street trees, policy/regulation and incentives.
