Abstract
Identifies key processes for testing and approving fire suppression products and addresses the risks of assuming compatibility between varying codes and standards. Other topics include: the key differences between the types of documentary evidence used to support marketed products and the potential impact of those differences in relation to data traceability and independence and product quality; and, the importance of appropriate system design, installation and maintenance and how to mitigate risks. The target audience for this information paper include specifiers, designers, regulators and manufacturers.
