Concrete Advice 03 Straightening and rebending reinforcement on site

Publication Year

2013

Document Status

Withdrawn

Abstract

Usually restricted on site by codes of practice, bending and rebending of reinforcements is sometimes necessary, such as planned situations, where cast vertical members and slabs are joined to vertical faces, or to create a temporary opening in a slab, or to correct errors. This document offers guidance for both planned situations (using continuity systems, couplers) and dealing with errors (cold and hot bending/rebending, cutting and welding). Details requirements in standards.

Document History

Superseded by CA 03 Straightening and rebending reinforcement on site (CS, 2016). Supersedes CA 03 Straightening and rebending reinforcement on site (CS, 2003).
