Abstract

Primarily intended to provide: information for customers who are appointing (by competition or negotiation) a contractor, a specification for kitchen ventilation TR/19 system installation, and a level of workmanship that may be verified by independent assessment. Covers the type of kitchen ventilation systems usually found in commercial premises.

It was established in 1904 as the National Association of Master Heating and Domestic Engineers and has been through a few name changes since, including: Heating and Ventilating Contractors' Association (HVCA) and from 2012 it was the known as the Building and Engineering Services Association (BES).
