Abstract

How to comply with the fire performance requirements to UK Building Regulations in relation to designing and constructing facades. Provides definitions of common terms, uses a flowchart to follow for meeting the requirements of Approved Document B. The appendices present information relating to the building regulations guidance for Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland, fire stopping, combustibility of materials, cavity barriers and alternative ways to achieve compliance.
