Shares the experiences of a major retrofit project to install sprinklers in ranch style properties in four locations in Sheffield. Includes the fire risk assessment, cost benefit analysis for alternative retrofit fire safety measures, the contract processes, design and planning, timetable and programme, communication with residents, installation and monitoring, feedback, system maintenance and a case study for a successful sprinkler activation.
