Abstract

Advises insurers, their agents, contractors, surveyors and other specialists who have a role in the recovery of buildings which have been affected by flooding or the uncontrolled release of water in building. Diagnoses the nature and extent of the recovery works that may be necessary. Supplies a framework for a structured recovery plan and aims to minimise the risk of future consequential defects. Addresses topics including standards, health and safety, surveying and investigation, stripping out, drying, monitoring, repair and re-fit, flood resilience, and problem solving.
