Abstract
Notification to ensure the structural design calculations for cladding systems are properly assessed, especially for those applied to high right buildings and buildings in exposed locations. Reports have emerged where some systems have failed in strong winds. This letter advises Scottish Government guidance on wind loading, highlighting key aspects of calculations for local authority verifiers or an approved certifier of design (building structures).
