Abstract
Introduces seven principles of passive house or PassivHaus design explaining how they can be applied in different climates to create super-insulated, airtight buildings requiring minimal energy use i.e. net-zero energy achieving high levels of indoor air quality and year-round comfort. Illustrated by 17 case studies in four climate zones including marine, cold and very cold, mixed-dry and hot-dry, and mixed-humid and hot-humid.
