Abstract
Provides advice on carrying out works near, in or over water that have the potential to cause pollution, transfer non-native species and impact on the bed and banks of a watercourse. Covers: legal requirements; types of approval; emergency works; silt pollution and disposal of contaminated water; cement, concrete and grout; oil and chemicals; bridge maintenance and structures over water; pesticide use; invasive non-native species; waste management; and incident response.
