Abstract
Provides guidance for the drawing up of written schemes of examination (WSE) in accordance with the Pressure systems safety regulations 2000 (PSSR 2000) and the associated examination of pressure vessels incorporating means for ready internal access. They are intended to assist competent persons when assessing the protective, safety and control devices fitted to such pressure vessels. The introduction of more complex control/safety devices such as programmable logic controllers has brought about the need to clearly define the scope of examination for safety devices.
