Abstract

Specifies requirements for the design, construction, testing and marking of electrical equipment and apparatus with type of protection increased safety "e" for use in explosive gas atmospheres. Type "e" can give two levels of protection "eb" (applicable to equipment or ex components, including connections, conductors, windings, lamps and batteries) and "ec".
