Abstract

Specifying the design and layout of new apartments to ensure they promote sustainable urban housing, this guide updates previous guidance to cover a mix of apartment types, make provision for refurbishment of existing apartments, look at the emerging trends in apartment provision, and address car parking requirements.

Updated to take account of the Housing Agency National Statement on Housing Demand and Supply, the Government’s action programme on housing and homelessness Rebuilding Ireland and Project Ireland 2040 and the National Planning Framework, published since the 2015 guidelines.
